2026 Land Management Case Study
I have several things that I want to get done in 2026, but fewer projects than in the past. The Redneck box blinds are a little tricky to unlock and climb into as you have a bow in your hand, so I have “porch extensions” to install on each of them. It would make a big difference to the hunting on the northeast side of the property if I could push the deer to the stands on that side rather than allow them to come and go through the woods, so I actually want to put up fencing along that side.
I still want to cut a trail between the Tractor Road Blind and the South Fence stand, but this will not be easy because of the size of the fallen trees in that area - I may need a bigger chainsaw. I have created three bedding areas in the past two years and have several more that I would like to do. And I have the usual things like soil tests, fertilizer, posting the property line, and putting up wind indicators at most stand sites.
